Navy 24, at No. 16 Wake Forest 17: Eric Kettani rushed for a career-high 175 yards and Jarod Bryant scored the decisive touchdown late in the fourth quarter to lead the Midshipmen (3-2) over the Demon Deacons (3-1) at Winston-Salem, N.C., for their first win over a ranked team in 23 years.
Maryland 20, at No. 20 Clemson 17: Chris Turner threw for a touchdown and Da’Rel Scott rushed for one to rally Terrapins (4-1, 1-0) over the Tigers (3-2, 1-1) at Clemson, S.C., for their second straight win at Death Valley.
No. 13 South Florida 41, at North Carolina State 10: Matt Grothe threw for 259 yards and a touchdown, completing his first 11 passes to lead the Bulls (5-0) in a rout over the Wolfpack (2-3) at Raleigh. South Florida scored on its first three possessions and had two safeties.
North Carolina 28, at Miami 24: Cameron Sexton threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Brooks Foster with 46 seconds left, Trimane Goddard had two interceptions in the final minutes, and the Tar Heels (3-1, 1-1) rallied from an early 14-point deficit to beat the Hurricanes (2-2, 0-1).
at Duke 31, Virginia 3: The Blue Devils (3-1, 1-0) took advantage of five second-half turnovers by the Cavaliers (1-3, 0-1) at Durham, N.C., to end their 25-game ACC losing streak. Duke scored three touchdowns in a 10-minute span of the second half to break open a 3-3 score.
at Florida State 39, Colorado 21: Antone Smith ran for 154 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Seminoles (3-1) over the Buffaloes (3-1) at Jacksonville in Bobby Bowden’s 500th game as a college head coach.
at Boston College 42, Rhode Island 0: Montel Harris ran for 143 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Eagles (3-1) over the Rams (1-4).
