Pfizer Inc. won preliminary approval for an $89-million settlement resolving claims over marketing of the Bextra and Celebrex prescription drugs.
If final approval of the settlement is given Sept. 25, the money would go to consumers and insurance companies or other entities that paid for either painkiller before July 29, 2005, the claims administrator said in a statement.
