Checking out a Hartford hotel
Rosemary McClure’s article “A Grown-Up Playground” [July 19] was nice. Too bad she did not include a look-see at Hartford, Conn.’s Goodwin Hotel. It is a circa-1880, four-story building now run as a small luxury hotel. My wife and I always make a point of staying there when we go east. I also liked the section on Stonington and yes, it is quite a contrast to nearby Mystic. My family lived at Stonington from about 1765 until just after the War of 1812.
