Protective layer for vacant homes
What to do with America’s sea of unoccupied homes and unfinished construction projects? Is there a way to keep the weather and vandals at bay until housing turns around? You might shrink-wrap them.
It’s being done. Fast Wrap, a Reno company, wraps furniture, cars and dry-docked boats in a thick, protective film to protect them from the elements.
Now it does buildings too, and says it’s looking to expand into the foreclosure market, particularly in hard-hit areas where banks can’t keep up their seized assets and squatters are moving in.
