Bad ads

Re “Give us a sign, mayor,” editorial, Jan. 26

The lawlessness in Los Angeles, on the watch of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, City Atty. Rocky Delgadillo and our City Council, is truly appalling.

They can’t stop the encasing of large buildings in vinyl billboards? This is the place for Christo to do one of his projects -- no permits needed.

Apparently the only weapon available to us citizens is to boycott the advertisers. I, for one, shall never patronize ING, Tropicana or any other company that participates in this attack.

I hope The Times continues to pursue this story.
