Green jobs: An article and a subheadline in Business on Thursday on the growth of “green” jobs said clean energy had spurred the creation of 10,209 businesses and 125,390 jobs in the state in 2007. They were created over a 10-year period that ended in 2007. In addition, the article said green energy investments from 1998 to 2007 generated 15% more jobs than did the California economy overall. Rather, such investments generated jobs 15% faster than did the entire California economy.
