MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY: GIANTS AT SAN FRANCISCO
FRIDAY THROUGH JUNE 21: DODGERS AT ANGEL STADIUM
The Giants have one player in their starting lineup from the 2002 World Series -- Bengie Molina, then the catcher for the Angels. With his next home run, Molina will have hit at least 10 homers for seven consecutive seasons. Neither of his catching brothers, Jose of the New York Yankees nor Yadier of the St. Louis Cardinals, ever has hit 10 home runs in a season. Molina, the Giants’ cleanup batter, leads all major league catchers in home runs and runs batted in. He has drawn two walks this season. Matt Cain, today’s starting pitcher for the Giants, has drawn three walks.
