Arizona 12, at Kansas City 5: Chris Young had a career-high four hits and Dan Haren earned his sixth victory in seven decisions.

Houston 5, at Texas 3: Hunter Pence led off the eighth inning with a tiebreaking homer.

Detroit 6, at St. Louis 3: Rookie Rick Porcello won for the seventh time in nine starts and the Tigers avoided a three-game sweep.

Florida 2, at Boston 1 (5 innings): Dan Uggla and Ronny Paulino homered, and Ricky Nolasco pitched five solid innings before the game was called because of rain.

at Minnesota 5, Pittsburgh 1: Nick Blackburn pitched a six-hitter for his first career complete game.

Toronto 8, at Philadelphia 7: Pinch-hitter Rod Barajas led off the ninth inning with a tiebreaking homer and the Blue Jays completed a three-game sweep of the World Series champions.

at Chicago Cubs 6, Chicago White Sox 5: Derrek Lee and Geovany Soto homered to tie the score in the eighth inning, then Alfonso Soriano singled home the winning run in the ninth.

at Colorado 4, Tampa Bay 3: Clint Barmes hit a two-run homer to help Ubaldo Jimenez win his third straight start. The Rockies have won 13 of 14.

Atlanta 8, at Cincinnati 0: Tommy Hanson gave up three hits in six innings and Nate McLouth homered and drove in four runs.

at Dodgers 3, Oakland 2: Joe Torre earned his 2,195th win, passing Sparky Anderson for fifth on the career list.
