SAN FRANCISCO — Pablo Sandoval slugged a three-run homer with two out in the ninth, ending the San Francisco Giants’ wild 9-7 victory over the Washington Nationals on Tuesday night.
Ryan Zimmerman extended his hitting streak to 30 games with a first-inning single for the Nationals.
San Francisco blew a late four-run lead when Nick Johnson hit a three-run homer in the seventh inning and drove in two more runs with a weak single in the eighth for Washington.
The Giants then rallied against Washington reliever Joe Beimel (0-2). Emmanuel Burriss singled and Edgar Renteria walked before Sandoval homered on a 2-and-2 pitch, his third home run of the season.
