Update: The Ducks’ effort to build momentum after they opened a seven-game homestand with a victory against Tampa Bay on Thursday sputtered with a 3-2 loss to San Jose on Saturday. The team’s injury list got shorter as several players returned, including center Saku Koivu. But the Ducks said center Ryan Carter (foot) will be out four more weeks.
