Leno update: The fourth edition of “The Jay Leno Show” attracted 8.5 million people Thursday night, second in the 10-11 p.m. slot (behind the 8.7 million for a rerun of CBS’ “The Mentalist”) but first among viewers aged 18 to 49, NBC said. His premiere Monday drew 18.4 million viewers.
