Happening Friday: Jaguares at House of Blues Anaheim

Check out the fiery rock ‘n’ roll of Mexican alt-rock band Jaguares as it takes to the stage with Los Cenzontles for two nights in Anaheim. The band has gained an impressive following in the States, partly due to its social conscience. In 2007 it participated in an Amnesty International campaign to help alleviate suffering in Darfur. The American Cinematheque offers three nights of thrills and chills with “Escape Artist: A Tribute to John Carpenter,” a series of double features. Up From the Vault: 85 Years of Treasures From the Warner Bros. Photo Lab. More than 150 images from the historic studio’s remarkable archive — some famous, some rare and unseen — will be on display.
