Bob Odenkirk’s former Midcentury home finds a taker in Los Feliz
A onetime home of actor Bob Odenkirk has changed hands again in the hills of Los Feliz.
The updated Midcentury Modern-style house sold for $2.55 million. Odenkirk, noted for his roles in “Breaking Bad” and “Better Caul Saul,” previously owned the three-bedroom spot for more than a decade before selling it in 2014 for $2.45 million.
Built in 1950, the home sports period details inside and out. A red façade and front door with a stained glass insert highlight the exterior. Clerestory windows and pocket doors are a design element throughout the living spaces.
Modern amenities, such as solar panels and an electric car charging station, bring the home up to date.
Floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room provides canyon views, and a large half-covered patio offers more of the same.
The home, set on half an acre, also packs a great room, office, library, loft, kitchen, family room, three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms into 2,882 square feet of space.
Juliette Hohnen of Douglas Elliman held the listing. Branden Williams of Hilton & Hyland represented the buyer.
Odenkirk, 55, has since moved on to a 1940s Spanish-style home in the Hollywood Hills.
The actor-comedian started his career writing for late-night shows such as “Saturday Night Live” and “Late Night with Conan O’Brien.” In 2015, he paired with David Cross for Netflix’s “W/ Bob & David,” a sketch comedy show reminiscent of the duo’s popular ’90s HBO series, “Mr. Show with Bob and David.”
