Chone Figgins prices Newport Coast home at $1.2 million
Veteran baseball player Chone Figgins, formerly of the Dodgers, has listed his condominium residence in Newport Coast for sale at slightly under $1.2 million.
Figgins was a surprise addition to the Dodgers roster out of spring training after sitting out all last season. He appeared in 38 games this season, playing third and second, but was felled by injury in June and later released by the team in August.
Found within the guard-gated Ziani community, the unit features an updated kitchen, an office, two bedrooms and two bathrooms in 2,100 square feet of living space. Features include a pair of private balconies and a master suite complete with a large walk-in closet.
Community amenities include a pool and spa, putting greens, walking trails and designated hammock areas.
Known for his speed and versatility, Figgins, 36, has played every infield and outfield position with the exception of catcher over the course of 12 seasons with the Angels, Mariners and Dodgers. He won a championship with the Halos in 2002 and was an All-Star in 2009.
Records show that Figgins purchased the condo in 2006 for $1.195 million. Joseph Martelli of Joseph Martelli Real Estate Investments is the listing agent.
