Meteorologist Dallas Raines records a quick sale in Pasadena

If Dallas Raines’ sale offers any indication, it would appear the forecast for Pasadena real estate is sunny.

The local meteorologist recently listed and sold his home in a span of about a month. The sale price was $3.3 million, or $5,000 over the asking price.

Built in 2007, the gated two-story sits on a hillside lot of more than an acre. Panoramic mountain and valley views are on full display from the vantage.

Within the nearly 4,700 square feet of living space is an entry hall that opens to formal living and dining rooms. The updated kitchen is equipped with stainless-steel appliances, and the nearby breakfast room adjoins a family room with a fireplace.

Upstairs, an office sits behind glass doors off a wide landing on the wood stairway. The master suite includes a sitting area and a stone fireplace for a total of four bedrooms and 4.25 bathrooms.

Glass doors off the living areas open to a swimming pool and spa. Elsewhere on the grounds are a putting green, a sports court, a fire pit and a pool house with a kitchenette.

Raines, chief meteorologist at KABC-TV, joined the Los Angeles station in 1984 from CNN. He bought the property in 2008 for $2.9 million, public records show.

Mike Kobeissi of Kobeissi Properties was the listing agent. Ying Jiang of Highland Real Estate represented the buyer.
