INXS bassist Garry Beers lands a tennis court estate in Tarzana
Garry Beers, the longtime bassist for the new wave rock band INXS, has bought a home in a gated Tarzana community for $1.69 million.
The French country-inspired home, built in 1977, sits on about half an acre and has a tennis court and a swimming pool.
Inside, beamed ceilings and walls of French doors bring natural light into the 3,800 square feet of renovated interiors. Among living areas are formal living and dining rooms, a family room with a wet bar and an updated kitchen.
The master suite has three walk-in closets and a marble soaking tub for a total of five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.
Outdoors, there’s a swimming pool with a circular spa and a waterfall feature. A raised pavilion with a built-in barbecue sits next to the pool.
The house was listed at $1.8 million prior to the sale, records show. Patricia Olson of RE/MAX Olson & Assoc. was the listing agent. Beers was represented by his wife and Keller Williams agent, Jourdan Conrad-Beers, in the transaction.
The Australian-born Beers, 59, is an original member of the group known for its eclectic mix of funk, dance and hard rock.. Among the band’s hits is “The One Thing,” “What You Need” and “Suicide Blonde.”
