Giants’ Hunter Pence trades up at the Millennium Tower in San Francisco

San Francisco Giants outfielder Hunter Pence has circled the bases on another condominium unit at the Millennium Tower building in San Francisco.

After buying a one-bedroom unit from Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana last year, Pence recently splashed out $4.25 million on another condo in the 60-story high-rise.

On the 51st floor, the unit features open-plan living areas, hardwood floors and an upgraded kitchen complete with a wine chiller, pendant lighting and an island/breakfast bar.

Family and living rooms, a dining area and a library are in more than 2,200 square feet of living space. The master suite sports a large soaking tub, his and hers vanities and a steam shower for a total of two bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Walls of floor-to-ceiling windows take in views of the Bay Bridge and surrounding cityscape.

Access to a 20,000-square-foot club level complete with a movie theater, wine tasting room, fitness center and heated lap pool completes the high-rise setting.

The condo came to market in February for $4.995 million and was more recently priced at $4.495 million, records show. Four years ago it sold for $3.025 million.

Bryant Kowalczyk of GPK & Associates handled both ends of the transaction.

Pence, 32, was limited to 52 games for the Giants this season due to an oblique injury. A three-time all-star, he is entering the third year of a five-year, $90 million extension he signed in 2013.
