‘WKRP’ actress Loni Anderson sells her knockout place in Sherman Oaks
Actress Loni Anderson of “WKRP in Cincinnati” fame has sold her home in Sherman Oaks for $2.1 million.
Billed as Santa Barbara-style, the custom-built home sits behind gates on a quarter-acre hillside lot. Within the 4,630 square feet of elegant interiors are a living room with fireplace, a formal dining room, a butler’s pantry with a wet bar and a wine cooler and a family/media room with a fireplace. The kitchen has a granite-topped island, a six-burner range and stainless-steel appliances.
The master suite features a sitting area, a fireplace and a balcony. There are five bedrooms and six bathrooms.
French doors open to a courtyard with a fountain, a barbecue and a fountain. The yard includes a saltwater swimming pool, a spa and mature oak trees.
Anderson, 70, gained a television following as blond but decidedly not ditzy receptionist Jennifer Marlowe on the popular ensemble comedy “WKRP in Cincinnati,” which aired from 1978 to 1982. She reprised the role on “The New WKRP in Cincinnati” (1991-92), and more recently she was in the series “So Notorious” and “The Mullets.” This year she’ll star in the comedy series “My Sister Is So Gay.”
