Nick Novak, kicker for the San Diego Chargers, has given a town house in La Jolla the boot, selling the property for $630,000.
The residence, located in the Via La Jolla community, features a one-bedroom floor plan with custom lighting, hardwood flooring and integrated audio/video systems. The 1,358 square feet of living space includes a chef’s kitchen, a living room, an office and a wine closet.
Highlights include an expanded master bedroom complete with a built-in Bose sound system, a gas fireplace and a remote-controlled skylight. The master bath sports a large soaking tub, glass wall partitions and a wet/dry sauna.
Novak, 33, is in his fourth season with the Chargers. A San Diego native, he made 34 of 37 field goals in 16 games last year.
Public records show that the kicker paid $625,000 for the town house in June 2013 -- nearly four months after agreeing to a four-year, $6.6 million contract extension with the Chargers. He had asked as much as $675,000 for the property in May.
Ben Greenway of Bren Franklin Properties represented Novak and the buyer in the sale.
