Paris Barclay, the award-winning director-producer and president of the Directors Guild of America, has put his home in Valley Village on the market for $1.795 million.

Built in 2006 and sitting on a tree-lined street, the contemporary-inspired Mediterranean features a formal entry that opens to a voluminous living room with raised ceilings and a fireplace. A second-floor gallery sits behind decorative ironwork and overlooks the living room area.

Elsewhere, broad archways lead to a formal dining room and a chef’s kitchen outfitted with Italian cabinetry, a granite-topped island and a custom sink. An office/den, a family room, five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms also lie within the 4,880 square feet of living space.

The upstairs master suite, with dark wood floors and a sitting area, opens to a balcony overlooking the grounds.

Tall palms, lawns and a paved patio area complete the fenced and hedged setting.

Barclay, 60, has scores of credits for writing, directing and producing television shows. Among them is the show “Sons of Anarchy,” “The West Wing” and “NYPD Blue,” the latter of which he won two Primetime Emmys for outstanding directing for a drama series.
