Paul Pierce gets his price and more for Cheviot Hills home he bought for his mom
Former NBA star Paul Pierce has sold the Cheviot Hills home he bought for his mother in 2001 for $3.5 million.
Think of it as a belated Mother’s Day gift. The Cheviot Hills home that former Clipper Paul Pierce bought for his mother in 2001 has sold for $3.5 million — $105,000 above its asking price.
Pierce, who called it a career after the Clippers fell to the Jazz in the playoffs, bought the house for his mother after signing his first long-term contract extension while a member of the Boston Celtics. He put the property on the market in April after moving his mother into a new single-story home in the area.
The Mediterranean-inspired house, built in 2000, has about 5,300 square feet of living space on two stories. Features include a two-story foyer, three fireplaces and a center-island kitchen. French doors open the great room to the backyard.
The master suite has a private balcony and a walk-in closet; the home has a total of six bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms.
A wide loggia, lawns and hedges make up the grounds.
Danny Brown of the Agency bookended the deal, representing Pierce and the buyer.
Pierce, 39, won a championship in 2008 with the Celtics and has also played for the Brooklyn Nets and Washington Wizards. The 10-time all-star retired with 26,397 points scored, the 18th-most in NBA history.
