Part of a storied five-unit complex, the Spanish Revival-style residence sits behind gates and is surrounded by a lush landscaping, courtyards and garden terraces. Sets of cabanas and a shared swimming pool are also within the tree-topped grounds.
The three-story floor plan is full of classic character details with Saltillo-tiled floors, arched doorways, built-ins and wrought iron work. Modern fixtures and hardware are among the updates.

The villa came to market in April for $1.995 million and was under contract in about a month, records show.

Aguirre-Sacasa has television credits that include “Glee,” “Big Love” and “Supergirl.” The comic book writer and playwright wrote the pilot for the upcoming CW series “Riverdale,” a teen drama series based on the Archie Comics canon.
