Hot Property: Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. find a buyer
Sarah Michelle Gellar of “The Crazy Ones” and her husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., have sold their home in a gated Bel-Air community for $4.925 million.
The traditional-style house, built in 1991, has been updated with custom finishes and custom lighting. The family room has a drop-down screen and projector, 15-foot ceilings, a fireplace and French doors.
The 7,620 square feet of living space includes a gym, an office, a sun room, five bedrooms and 4½ bathrooms. The living room and master bedroom have fireplaces.
The nearly half-acre site contains a swimming pool, a spa and a barbecue.
Gellar, 37, made a splash starring in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (1997-2003). Among her film credits are “The Grudge” (2004), “Cruel Intentions” (1999) and “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (1997), in which Prinze also starred. She won a Daytime Emmy for “All My Children.” CBS recently canceled “The Crazy Ones,” which paired Gellar with Robin Williams, after one season.
Prinze, 38, was on the series “24” and “Freddie.” He is a producer and director for World Wrestling Entertainment.
The property was purchased in 2001 for $2.45 million and came on the market in March at $5.499 million.
Cindy Ambuehl of Partners Trust handled the transaction.
