Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella sells Seattle-area home for $2.775 million

Microsoft Chief Executive Satya Nadella has sold his home in the Seattle-area for $2.775 million, about double what he paid for the property more than a decade ago.

The 1960s home in the Clyde Hill area came to market in January for $3.488 million, offering a glimpse inside the renovated residence that the tech executive bought in 2000 for $1.385 million.

The 4,050 square feet of space is distinguished by strong lines, polished concrete and ceramic floors and exposed steel beams. A two-story wall of glass centers on panoramic views of Lake Washington, Mt. Olympus and downtown Seattle.

Two floors of living space include open living and dining rooms, a family room and an updated kitchen with vibrant wood cabinetry and an island/bar. A second-floor office/loft space overlooks the living room.

There are four bedrooms, three bathrooms and two fireplaces in all.

French doors off the main floor open to rolling lawns and landscaping. A two-car garage sits off the entrance.

The 48-year-old Nadella joined Microsoft in 1992 and previously led the technology giant’s cloud and enterprise group. He was named CEO in 2014, replacing Steve Ballmer, whio retired from the company.
