Ashton Kutcher’s Steve Jobs biopic set for August release
After having its original April opening delayed, the Steve Jobs biopic starring Ashton Kutcher has a new release date: Aug. 16.
The movie stars Kutcher as the late Apple co-founder, alongside Josh Gad as the company’s other founder, Steve Wozniak. “JOBS” was set to open to national audiences in April but was delayed after distributor Open Road Films decided it wanted more time to market the movie.
The movie traces the life of Jobs and will include the major moments and people who influenced him, according to Open Road Films.

“JOBS” premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival in January and got mixed reviews. Also, the accuracy of the movie has been questioned by Wozniak.
Kutcher’s portrayal of Jobs will be the first major movie focused on the Apple co-founder, who died in late 2011 after a long bout with cancer.
Also in the works is a biopic based on Jobs’ official biography by Walter Isaacson. That movie is being written by Academy Award winner Aaron Sorkin.
