2-year-old injured in fiery Stevenson Ranch crash dies
A 2-year-old girl whose mother crashed their car while driving naked has died, two days after the Los Angeles-area crash that also killed the girl’s sister.
Authorities say the Bakersfield toddler died of her injuries Wednesday at a hospital.
Her 6-year-old sister died Monday and her mother remains hospitalized in stable condition.
The California Highway Patrol says the Subaru crashed Monday morning in Stevenson Ranch, an unincorporated area north of Los Angeles.
Authorities say the car veered into an oncoming traffic lane and hit a curb, sign, tree and traffic signals before slamming into a utility pole and catching fire.
Good Samaritans rescued the woman and freed the girls from their seatbelts in the backseat moments before it caught fire.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
