The new season at the Soka Performing Arts Center in Orange County will feature appearances by the Warsaw Philharmonic, Academy of St. Martin in the Fields and Vancouver Symphony, as well as by pianists Jeremy Denk and Joyce Yang, and cellist Alisa Weilerstein.
The venue, which is the newest classical hall in Southern California, opened last year at Soka University in Aliso Viejo. The 2012-13 season is set to begin in September.

For the Pacific Symphony’s appearances (all three on Sunday afternoons), conductor Carl St.Clair has programmed three Mozart concertos, as well as the composer’s Symphony 40 in G minor.
The center’s chamber series will feature A Far Cry Chamber Ensemble (Oct. 5); The Romeros with Massimo Paris and Concerto Málaga (Dec. 1); the Takács Quartet, with Yang (Jan. 16); pianist Barry Douglas (Feb. 19); Tafelmusik (March 14); the Shesh Besh Arab-Jewish Ensemble (April 6); and a solo recital featuring Denk (April 14).
The seasons’s jazz series will include Nestor Torres (Sept. 21); the Dale Fielder Tribute Quintet (Oct. 19); Chucho Valdes and the Afro-Cuban Messengers (Nov. 9); the Phil Norman Tentet (Feb. 15); a guitar tribute to Jimmy Wyble (March 29); and vocalist Karrin Allyson (April 19).
