Hillary Clinton will appear Monday on Fox News for the first time since 2014

Hillary Clinton has agreed to appear at a town hall-style telecast airing Monday on Fox News Channel.

It will be Clinton’s first appearance on the channel since her book tour in 2014.

The front-runner for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination will be moderated by “Special Report” anchor Bret Baier. She will take questions from audience members at the Gem Theatre in Detroit, where the program will be staged.

Clinton’s primary opponent, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, previously agreed to be a part of the program, which airs live at 6 p.m. Eastern and repeated at 11 p.m. Eastern. Sanders recently appeared on “Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace.”

The hourlong event takes place the day before Tuesday’s Michigan primary.

Fox News Channel, where politically conservative commentators and hosts frequently appear throughout the day, was not chosen by the Democratic National Committee to air any of the party’s primary debates. Those events have aired on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS and Telemundo.

But town hall appearances are decided upon by the candidates and their campaign teams.

Fox News Channel is the top-rated cable news network and showed the most-watched debate of the 2016 primary campaign when 24 million watched the Republicans face off on Aug. 6. It was the largest audience ever for a non-sports program on cable TV.
