The shocking final part of HBO’s documentary series “The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst” sparked about 35,000 tweets from users on the social media platform.

One or more of the 35,000 tweets were seen 11.1 million times, reaching 2.8 million people, according to Nielsen Twitter TV ratings.

Durst, a New York real estate scion, sat for more than 20 hours of interviews with “The Jinx” director Andrew Jarecki, speaking bluntly about his past.

Authorities arrested the 71-year-old on Saturday in New Orleans after reviewing evidence that detectives said links him to the 2000 slaying of Los Angeles writer Susan Berman.

In “Chapter 6: The Second Interview,” the final episode that aired Sunday, Jarecki confronted Durst with what seems to be incriminating evidence. Durst denied guilt and leaves to use the bathroom, appearing not to notice that his microphone is still recording as he mutters, “What the hell did I do? Killed them all, of course.”

Of the tweets, 10,876 contained “reactions,” or tweets with emotions, according to Canvs, a social TV platform created by the firm Mashwork.

The company uses relevant tweets, provided by Nielsen, to gauge what emotions people have about TV. The tweets are then broken down into reactions.

An estimated 32.5% of the reaction tweets contained emotions of “crazy,” with many calling the show “unbelievable,” “insane” and “gut-wrenching.” Users also had reactions of “love,” commending Jarecki for his investigative skills. Some (9.4%) even expressed “mind blown” reactions.

Even celebrities chimed in.

“You have two hours to prepare (binge) for #thejinx finale tonight at 8 on HBO. It is so good and scary and real. I suggest ep 1 & 5,” Jimmy Fallon wrote.

Actress Kat Dennings tweeted: “Thanks, The Jinx, for ruining my chill forever.”

Mandy Moore called it the “#bestfinaleever” on Twitter. She posted: “So many questions after #thejinx finale! When was that interview taped? When did Jarecki & co go to the police w the letter?”

Though the finale is over, the investigation continues.
