‘American Pie’ star Chris Klein marries Laina Rose Thyfault
Chris Klein and Laina Rose Thyfault were married Sunday after being together for about four years.
Chris Klein, who was engaged to Katie Holmes before she married Tom Cruise, is now a married man.
The “American Pie” and “Election” actor tied the knot with Laina Rose Thyfault, a travel agent, on Sunday in Montana, People reported.
About 115 people were on hand for the celebration at the Rainbow Ranch, the magazine said.
The couple got engaged in December 2014 after dating for 3 1/2 years, with a Klein buddy telling Us Weekly at the time, “Neither one is interested in a long engagement, so they’re shooting for a summer 2015 wedding.”
Klein, 36, popped the question in Venice Beach. He and Thyfault met at a friend’s wedding.
He and Holmes had been engaged for three years when they broke up in 2005. She got engaged to Cruise that same year, after dating him for two months, and got married the next year.
The relationship with Holmes ended as amicably as these things can end,” Klein told People in 2012, noting that she called him first to tell him she was dating Cruise.
