Justin Bieber is under investigation after an allegation of attempted robbery following an incident Tuesday night at a miniature golf course in Sherman Oaks.

The pop star hadn’t yet been questioned as of Wednesday morning, according to L.A. Now.

A woman in the San Fernando Valley reported that around 10:30 p.m., the singer tried to grab her cellphone when he suspected she was taking photos of him, police said. He didn’t try to keep the phone, they said.

The woman was at Sherman Oaks Castle Park with her 13-year-old daughter, TMZ reported. She told the website that he’d grabbed her phone out of her purse to check if photos had been taken when he and his crew allegedly got into a spat with people at the park’s batting cages.

A locked phone meant a mission fail for Bieber, whom the woman said then returned the device. She said she showed him that there were no photos on the phone and told him she and her daughter just wanted to say hi.

According to the website, the pop star started screaming at the two and telling the woman she was “humiliating” herself in front of her child, who started to cry.

The yelling part sounds a bit like Alec Baldwin, but, hey, Biebs, do we smell a little Chris Brown starting to grow on ya too?

Remember, the R&B singer was accused of “robbery by sudden snatching” in February 2012 after he allegedly snagged a woman’s cellphone and rode away with it.

She’d supposedly been trying to take a picture of him as he left a Miami nightclub and got into a Black Bentley. According to another performer’s security chief who was on the scene, Breezy didn’t want pics of him with other women getting online and upsetting Rihanna -- even though he was dating Karrueche Tran at the time. That all according to TMZ. Oh, what a tangled web we weave.

It was decided months later that Brown wouldn’t be charged in the incident. No evidence was found that he’d intended to steal the phone or deleted any photos, Miami-Dade police said at the time.

Law enforcement officials in two countries currently have Bieber under the microscope for alleged felony vandalism (that egging incident) in SoCal, an alleged assault on a limo driver in Toronto and that Miami arrest on suspicion of DUI, driving without a license and resisting arrest.
