Katie Holmes is dating Jamie Foxx?

Don’t believe everything you read, kids — just because the “Django Unchained” star danced with Suri’s mom in public in August doesn’t mean anything else has been going on since then.

The rumors “are 100% not true,” Foxx told “Entertainment Tonight” on Tuesday. “In fact, it’s quite hilarious because we simply danced at a charity event along with a lot of other people.”

Foxx is also good friends with Tom Cruise, Holmes’ ex, whom he worked with on the 2004 movie “Collateral.”

So how did the rumor start? With a story early Tuesday by InTouch magazine, which claimed multiple sources backing up the notion that Holmes, 34, and Foxx, 45, were a couple.

“Katie and Jamie have been dating for a while,” one supposed insider told the mag, following up with the très quotable, “They’re very ‘Mission: Impossible’ about their romance.”

Holmes and Cruise split last summer, with their quick and quiet divorce final in August 2012.
