Lady Gaga’s latest award-winning gig? Magazine editor of the year
The accolades just keep on coming for Mother Monster: Lady Gaga has been named the Daily Front Row’s editor of the year.
Yes, add “editor” to the pop star’s long-running list of occupations -- singer, actress, sometimes-model and Kesha champion just weren’t enough, apparently.
The sartorially minded singer, who is being honored for her V Magazine guest-editing work, “masterminded a record-setting 16 covers for the pre-Spring issue and edited the the entire magazine,” the publication said in a statement. You can peep some of the covers here and here.

The Daily will bestow the prize on the Golden Globe winner during the 2nd Fashion Los Angeles Awards at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood on Sunday.
“This issue of V is about all of these people coming together to express a passion for art and fashion, to really ‘go there’ to make a great statement and to change things,” Gaga said when her work was unveiled. “I feel like we all share an appetite for living a life of passion and creativity.... It’s like we all found our immortality through art and fashion ... we share that deep spiritual place.”
The “American Horror Story: Hotel” star noted that the 16 covers feature “people who have kept me and protected me over the years, because they’ve wanted me to survive.”

“We are absolutely thrilled to honor Lady Gaga with this award,” the Daily Front Row’s editor-in-chief Brandusa Niro said in a statement. “She is an enormous talent and one of the most complex and astonishing artists of our time. We celebrate her tremendous contributions to music, fashion, film and culture, all reflected in the way she conceptualized her issue of V Magazine, and these breathtaking covers.”
Reality star-turned-designer Nicole Richie will host the event, and up-and-coming model Bella Hadid, model du jour Gigi Hadid’s younger sis, will be honored as model of the year. Designer Eva Chow, wife of restaurateur Michael Chow of Mr. Chow’s, has been named this year’s fashion innovator, and Carine Roitfeld’s CR Fashion Book will be 2016’s magazine of the year. Jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer will also be honored, and the event will include a special tribute to Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld.
Last year’s inaugural ceremony included honorees and guests Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Kanye West, Jeremy Scott, Christian Louboutin, Armie Hammer and Drew Barrymore.
