‘American Horror Story’ will come alive at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights

Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s “American Horror Story” is setting up shop at Universal Studios’ “Halloween Horror Nights.” But which perplexing plot will its amusement parks use from “American Horror Story’s” five freaky seasons?

Universal Studios Hollywood and FX have selected three seasons from the frightening “American Horror Story” series to recreate in one creepy maze during their annual “Halloween Horror Nights” at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort.

Angry ghosts in leather and bondage gear from “American Horror Story’s” “Murder House” narrative will join clown characters from “Freak Show” in Season Four and the very recent vampire storyline starring Lady Gaga in Season Five in one giant experience.

Much like the series, we expect the overall experience to be absolutely gorgeous with a dash of incomprehensible insanity. Fingers crossed, every character will be played by the unassailable Sarah Paulson, if she’s free.

According, to the Universal Studios announcement, the new maze will incorporate the participants in each series, quite specifically: “Twisted scenes from Murder House will unleash the evil spirits that possess the Harmon estate, spiraling guests through decades of the tortured dead who previously resided there. In ‘Freak Show,’ guests will join a troupe of biological misfits in a sinister sideshow where they’ll be stalked by the murderous and deformed Twisty the Clown. Finally, guests will succumb to the warped desires of The Countess after checking in to the haunted Hotel Cortez, conceived from the beginning as a torture chamber for its customers.”

That’s quite a lot, but probably just the right amount for fans of the FX horror anthology.

Murphy and co-creator Falchuk’s ghosts and ghouls will populate the parks starting Sept. 16.
