At first, there was clarity. After appearing, um, not well during several episodes of “American Idol,” Abdul this week admitted to Ladies Home Journal that she had been addicted to pain killers in the past. But then, 48 hours later after the story surfaced online, she took it all back. “”I want to make it perfectly clear to everyone that I have never been addicted to or abused drugs in my life,” Abdul said. With less than a month until the start of production on the eighth season of “24,” its star has gone and gotten into trouble with the law again.
