Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard welcome a second baby girl
Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard have welcomed a second girl to their family, giving 5-year-old daughter Ramona a baby sister with whom she can one day share her fashion sense.
Gloria Ray was born April 19 in New York, the actress’ rep confirmed Monday to US Weekly, giving no further details.
Gyllenhaal announced her second pregnancy in November, explaining to USA Today in March, “I didn’t let anyone know until three and a half months this time. I went to film festivals. I’m throwing up in the bathroom and having to keep pretzels in my purse, and having to fit into dresses.”
Gloria’s uncle is, of course, actor Jake Gyllenhaal, Maggie’s younger brother. Lucky girl.
The couple, who met in 2002, made a double announcement in 2006 – that they were engaged and expecting – and wed almost exactly three years ago with a May 2 ceremony in Italy.
Dad, who got ugly as Hector Hammond in “Green Lantern,” will be seen in the upcoming “Lovelace,” starring James Franco and Amanda Seyfried. Mom is due on the big screen next month in the rom-com “Hysteria,” which costars Hugh Dancy and opens in May.
