Adele is pregnant, expecting her first child with Simon Konecki
Adele is known for her weepy ballads, but a happy tune came from the singer’s camp Friday: She announced she’s pregnant.
The British singing sensation, who is expecting along with boyfriend Simon Konecki, took to her blog to share the news with fans.
“Im delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together,” Adele wrote.
“I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx.”

Konecki is chief executive of a charitable foundation, Drop4Drop, that works to alleviate the global water crisis. He has a daughter from a previous marriage, but this will be the first wee one for Adele.
Heartbreak has so far been the fodder for Adele’s notoriously wrenching blockbuster albums, “19” and “21.” The Ministry wonders if, with all this good fortune, she’ll be able to bring the same heat. Although an Adele children’s record doesn’t sound half bad.
Congrats to the expectant mum.
