‘The Revenant,’ ‘Mad Max: Fury Road,’ ‘Inside Out’ among Golden Reel Award nominees
“The Revenant,” “Inside Out,” “The Martian” and “Mad Max: Fury Road” were among the nominations for the 63rd Motion Picture Sound Editors Golden Reel Awards. The nominations, announced Tuesday evening, honor outstanding achievement in sound editing in feature film, TV, animation, computer entertainment and student work.
Nominated for sound editing: dialogue and ADR in a feature film are “Bridge of Spies,” “Max Max: Fury Road,” “Room,” “Sicario,” “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” “Straight Outta Compton,” “The Martian” and “The Revenant.”

Nominees for sound editing: sound effects and foley in a feature film are “Ant-Man,” “Jurassic World,” “Max Max: Fury Road,” “Sicario,” “Southpaw,” “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” “The Martian” and “The Revenant.”
Vying for sound editing: sound effects, foley, dialogue and ADR in an animation feature are “Anomalisa,” “Hotel Transylvania 2,” “Inside Out,” “Minions,” “Shaun the Sheep,” “The Good Dinosaur” and “The Peanuts Movie.”
For sound editing: music score in a feature film, the nominees are “Creed,” “Jupiter Ascending,” “Jurassic World,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” “Mission: Impossible-Rogue Nation,” “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” “The Martian” and “The Revenant.”

Nominees for sound editing: music in a musical feature are “Love & Mercy,” “Pitch Perfect 2” and “Straight Outta Compton.”
Nominated for sound editing: sound effects, foley, dialogue and ADR in a foreign film are “Dias De Gracia,” “Northmen-A Viking Saga,” “Son of Saul” and “Unfreedom.”
Sound editing: documentary film nominees are “A Faster Horse,” “Amy,” “Best of Enemies,” “Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck,” “Racing Extinction,” “The Wrecking Crew,” “What Happened to Miss Simone” and “Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom.”
Among the TV nominees are “Bessie,” “True Detective,” “Scream Queens” and “Deadliest Catch.”
The winners will be announced Feb. 27 at the West Bonaventure Hotel and Suites in Los Angeles.
