Coldplay? What’s a Coldplay?

At least one person wasn’t sure who else was supposed to be there.

Once the show started, people were pretty excited.

She almost fell. Almost.

It didn’t take long for people to recognize the symbolism behind the performance: Beyoncé made a direct visual reference to the original Black Panthers, and her outfit was an homage to Michael Jackson.

But not everyone was thrilled about it. Ahead of the performance, some people said they were “boycotting” the halftime show.

Fox News’ Michelle Malkin took the opportunity to slam Beyoncé for dancing and singing her own music.

And pro-life activist Lila Rose called the whole thing “vulgar” in a tweet she later deleted.

After the show, Beyoncé announced the Formation world tour — and that she’s partnering with United Way to create a fund to benefit the residents of Flint, Mich.
