30 for 30 The sports-centered series opens “Soccer Stories” with two documentaries: “Maradona ‘86” which looks back at the 1986 World Cup heroics of Diego Maradona as he led Argentina to the title, and “The Opposition” recalling Chile in the 1974 World Cup. 4 p.m. ESPN and 6 p.m. ESPN2
Glee It’s Rachel’s (Lea Michele) Broadway debut in the opening night of “Funny Girl.” 8 p.m. Fox
Pioneers of Television Noah Wyle, Anthony Edwards, Gloria Reuben, Eriq LaSalle, Howie Mandel, Ed Begley Jr. and Christina Pickles discuss their medical dramas in the new episode “Doctors and Nurses.” 8 p.m. KOCE
Supernatural Sheriff Mills (Kim Rhodes) kills a vampire who attacked one of her prisoners (Katherine Ramdeen), then calls the Winchester brothers (Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki) for help in this new episode. 9 p.m. KTLA
American Masters Timed to coincide with Earth Day, the new documentary “A Fierce Green Fire” chronicles the modern environmental movement. Narrated by Robert Redford, Ashley Judd, Van Jones, Isabel Allende and Meryl Streep. 9 p.m. KOCE
Face Off In the season finale, the contestants must create two alien characters that don’t just have to look cool; they have to be able to get through a dance performance. 9 p.m. Syfy
Chow Masters In this new series Chef Sammy DeMarco and Frank Coraci visit a different city in each episode and try three different variations on the same food. 9 p.m. Travel
The Mindy Project A surly police officer (Tim Daly) admonishes Mindy (Mindy Kaling) for giving his daughter (BK Cannon) birth control pills in this new episode. 9:30 p.m. Fox
Frontline “Solitary Nation” reports on solitary confinement in U.S. prisons and jails. 10 p.m. KOCE
Fargo Molly (Allison Tolman) begins to suspect that Lester (Martin Freeman) is involved with the murders in this new episode. 10 p.m. FX
