Scott Schuman’s ‘The Sartorialist’
Scott Schuman, 41, worked in clothing sales and marketing for 15 years, then opened a small showroom to represent young designers. But after 9/11, he closed his business. A self-taught photographer, Schuman started the Sartorialist blog to address the gap between what was shown on the runways and in magazines and what people wore. (Stefano Paltera / For The Times)
Fans and fashionistas purchased the $175 hardcover limited-edition and stood in line to meet Scott Schuman, right, with Betsy Backlund, at a book signing at Barneys in Beverly Hills. (Stefano Paltera / For The Times)
