Hollywood’s declining population

In 2000, population in the Hollywood Planning Area totaled 210,871. It varied from under 100 in many blocks to nearly 1,900 in the most populous, at Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea Avenue.

By 2010, population was down 6 percent across the plan area. Like many blocks, the one at Hollywood and La Brea Avenue, lost population, falling to about 1,800.
