California presidential voting: In the Dec. 12 Section A, a chart accompanying an article about Hillary Clinton’s margin of victory in California indicated that the state voted for the Democratic candidate in the 1952 presidential election. Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower won the state that year, with a margin of 14%.
Ken Hechler: In the Dec. 13 California section, the obituary of former Rep. Ken Hechler of West Virginia said that he marched to Selma with the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. He marched with King from Selma to Montgomery, Ala.
Hacking class: In the Dec. 10 Business section, an article about college classes using tech-world strategies to solve real-world problems included a photo caption that misidentified instructor Zvika Krieger as director of the State Department’s Strategy Lab. Krieger is now the State Department representative to Silicon Valley.
“The C Word”: In the Dec. 9 Calendar section, a capsule review of Meghan O’Hara’s documentary “The C Word” referred to her as the Academy Award-nominated producer of Michael Moore’s films “Bowling for Columbine,” “Fahrenheit 9/11” and “Sicko.” She was a producer of the Oscar-nominated “Sicko.” “Bowling for Columbine,” which won an Academy Award, and “Fahrenheit 9/11” were produced by Kathleen Glynn.
Restaurant dishes: In the Dec. 10 Food section, an article about the 10 best restaurant dishes of 2016 identified the No. 7 dish on the list, by Pok Pok restaurant in Los Angeles, as Cha ca La Long. The dish is Cha ca La Vong. Also, a photo with the story did not depict the dish served by Pok Pok. It showed a dish from a restaurant in Hanoi.
