Immigration: In the June 16 Section A, two articles about an immigration policy change by the Obama administration said immigrants who arrived before age 16 and who are now under age 30 could apply for a two-year stay on deportation proceedings. People may apply until their 31st birthday. The mistake was repeated in a follow-up article in the June 17 Section A.

Lita Ford: An article about rock guitarist Lita Ford in the June 16 Calendar section said that after filing for divorce, she lost custody of her two sons. Ford did not lose legal custody of her sons.

Pimp slaying: An article in the June 15 LATExtra section about a man charged in the slaying of his daughter’s alleged pimp said the suspect, Barry Laprell Gilton, had coached at the Boys & Girls Club of San Francisco. A spokeswoman said Gilton did not coach or volunteer for the organization, but had spent time at the club because one of his sons plays on its basketball team.

Superior Court layoffs: In the June 16 LATExtra section, an article about layoffs in the Los Angeles County Superior Court system gave an incorrect name for a court employee found dead on a loading dock after apparently suffering a heart attack. His name is Greg Nemo, not Ray Nemo.

World War II veteran: An article in the June 17 Section A about veteran Stanley Friedman finally receiving disability pay referred to Friedman as being in his ninth decade. At 92, Friedman, is in his 10th decade.
