Amber Alert canceled after boy found
An Amber Alert issued Sunday for a 5-year-old boy who was abducted Saturday night has been canceled after the child was found unharmed, authorities said.
The boy, Johnnie Melendez, was abducted in National City, near San Diego, allegedly by his mother, Gladys Suarez, 27, according to the California Highway Patrol. The boy was found Sunday afternoon at a residence in Lancaster in northern Los Angeles County.
No other details were available.
