Classes canceled at Notre Dame High School after anonymous email threat
An anonymous email threatening a shooting at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks forced campus officials to cancel classes on Monday.
Campus officials received the email about 5 a.m. and notified police, according to Ingrid Zelinger, an administrative assistant on campus.
Los Angeles Police Department investigated the threat and determined it was not credible, Officer Irma Mota said.
The department’s bomb squad searched the school after an unattended and suspicious package was found, she said. Police determined the item did not pose a threat, Mota said.
Classes will resume Tuesday morning on campus at 13645 Riverside Drive.
