A former Disneyland Resort employee was sentenced to a year in County Jail on Friday after trying to trade theme park tickets for sex to an undercover officer posing as a 14-year-old girl, authorities said.

Darreck Michael Enciso, 27, of Adelanto, pleaded guilty Friday to a felony count of an attempted lewd act upon a child, a felony count of contacting a child with the intent to commit a specified sex crime, and a felony count of meeting a minor with the intent to engage in lewd conduct, according to the Orange County district attorney’s office.

Enciso was also ordered to serve five years’ formal probation and register for the rest of his life as a sex offender.

He had been working at the Disneyland Resort for about a year and did not have direct contact with hotel and park guests, a park spokeswoman said.

Enciso, who was a dishwasher at the Disney-owned hotel, posted a Craigslist ad in July looking for women who were interested in having sex with him in exchange for tickets to the parks.

An undercover officer with the Huntington Beach Police Department saw the ad and contacted Enciso.

Posing as a 14-year-old girl, the officer expressed interest in the tickets, prosecutors said.

Enciso set up a time and place to met the”girl,” prosecutors said. Once they met, the plan was that he would give her the tickets in exchange for sex acts, prosecutors said.

On July 9, Enciso showed up to the arranged meeting point near Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach carrying condoms and Disneyland tickets, prosecutors said. Officers immediately arrested him.
