LAX Terminal 1 temporarily closed after bomb squad response
Terminal 1 at Los Angeles International Airport was temporarily closed Tuesday afternoon after a police bomb squad responded to a report of a suspicious item, officials said.
The screening area at the terminal was closed around 3:45 p.m. and the terminal ticketing area was evacuated, an LAX spokeswoman said. Airport police were advising the public of possible delays.
The terminal was reopened at 4:20 p.m., airport police said. The bomb squad was from the Los Angeles Police Department.
