Man touches live wire in Hollywood, is hospitalized in critical condition
Los Angeles police say a man was critically injured when he touched a live wire on a power pole and caused an outage.
Officer Mike Lopez says investigators suspect the man was attempting suicide when he climbed the pole in Hollywood on Wednesday evening.
The man, said to be in his 30s, suffered a shock and fell to the ground. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
City News Service says about 2,700 customers lost power.
