Man killed when car veers off road, hits house in south O.C.
A 22-year-old man was killed about 7:40 p.m. Friday when the car he was driving left the roadway and struck a house in Coto de Caza, an Orange County fire spokesman said.
The driver, who was not identified, drove over the curb, went airborne and hit the corner of a house near the intersection of Vista Del Verde and Cherry Hills Drive, said Capt. Steve Concialdi.
After hitting the house, the car veered off and came to rest on a nearby fence and retaining wall, Concialdi said.
He said firefighters were waiting for a crane to lower the car to the ground in order to extricate the body.
